Profile: DJ @win

Edwin Lum a.k.a. DJ @win is known for his versatility in playing a variety of electronic dance music genres.

He has been invited to perform at numerous venues such as Rouge, eM Bar, The Living Room, Sunset Bay, Hideout and Cocco Latte. In addition to this, his ‘mix-tape’ was aired on radio station 91.3FM.

Edwin is also the co-owner of E-TracX and has been its main Club Mixing course instructor since 2003.

During which, he has trained aspiring DJs of various ages (17 – 45 years), nationalities and backgrounds.

Although the majority is Singaporean, he has had students from countries such as UK, US, Brazil, Egypt, Hong Kong, China, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Philippines.

They range from secondary school students to professionals. So far, he has taught an ambassador, a doctor, an engineer, bankers, a lawyer, an airline stewardess, DJs…

Due to his commitment to them, many of his graduate students have performed at events and venues such as St James Power House, Dempsey House, Hideout, and The Living Room.

Aside from DJ-ing and teaching, Edwin is actively involved in dance music & street-related events. He has participated in many events, which include RuffRyders: MC Jin Asia Tour, Singapore @ ChinaBlack, Beat Lounge @ Liquid Room and Streetlife Hip Hop Extravaganza @ Far East Plaza.

He also assisted in managing and co-ordinating a series of monthly events co-organised by E-TracX and Sentosa Leisure Group in 2008.
