Profile: DJ Shellsuit

Tom Kelly a.k.a DJ Shellsuit is a DJ from Scotland who has been playing for over 8 years. His DJ sets encompass a wide range of music including Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Reggae- cut and scratched together.

In Scotland, he has promoted and performed at numerous events held in venues in Glasgow and Edinburgh including The Venue, The Bongo Club, The HoneyComb, Eros & Elite and Henry’s Cellar Bar.

He was also involved in a series of musical collaborations with Scottish and local musicians in Mostar, Bosnia.

Currently residing in Singapore, he has played in venues such as Zouk, The Liquid Room, Cocco Latte and The Hideout. In recent months he won the Heineken’s Thirst Dj Competition in Singapore as part of a collaboration between Dj Koflow, MC Garuda and Dharni the beatboxer.

Tom’s teaching experience includes numerous workshops in and around Glasgow, and a two-year period as resident dj instructor at The Space Place youth centre in Prestwick. He is committed to sharing his love of djing by providing opportunities for young people to experience djing for themselves.
